TITLEOn Thermal Transpiration (I)~(II)

ABSTRACT We consider the thermal transpiration problem in a flow induced by the gradient of the wall temperature. There is no pressure gradient along the main flow direction in thermal transpiration.

I will introduce the phenomena and the physical explanation on it, then I explain the mathematical model, linearized Boltzmann equation for hard sphere, and diffused boundary condition. In the end, I will talk about some new results, regarding the solution profile for sufficiently dilute gas with a singularity at zero normal microscopic velocity near the boundary.
