TITLEOn graphs of rings

ABSTRACT There are many studies concerning various graphs of rings. Some of them employ graph theory methods as tools helping to prove ring theory results (e.g., Swanˇ¦s proof of Amitsur-Levitzki theorem on polynomial identities of matrix algebras). Some other use graph theory invariants in studies of properties of rings, their elements or ideals (e.g., the diameter or the girth of the graph of zero divisors of a commutative ring, whose set of vertices consists of o zero divisors of the ring and two vertices a; b are adjacent iff ab = 0). There are also studies of graphs as objects, which can be associated in this or that way to a ring and allow to code some of its properties.

The aim of the talk is to present some of such studies and obtained results.
