TITLEBirational Geometry of Projective Varieties

ABSTRACT Projective varieties are geometric objects (Zariski) locally defined by a set of polynomial equations. We aim to study the intrinsic geometry of projective varieties. The good minimal model conjecture (GMMC) provides a qualitative understanding of global geometry of projective varieties. Conjecturally, this can be achieved by running Mori's program or so called the minimal model program. In this talk, we review the good minimal model conjecture, Mori's program, and discuss about some recent results.
