TITLE Hilbert Sixth Problem

ABSTRACT The Hilbert Sixth Problem, as Hilbert was originally intended, is mostly about the kinetic theory. There are two parts of this Problem. The first part concerns the relation of the kinetic theory with Newtonian particle systems. The second part is about the relation of the kinetic theory with the fluid dynamics. There are many serious attempts on these two parts, and there are substantial results. On the other hand, the most of the central issues remain unresolved. We will give a survey of this fundamentally important problem.
