TITLE Geography of Threefolds of General Type

ABSTRACT In classification theory of algebraic varieties, it is interesting to determine the distribution of certain important discrete invariants, such as Euler characteristic, Chern numbers and plurigenera. By "geography", we riyghly means the exploration of distribution of invariants, especially the boundary behaviour. The purpose of this talk is to introduce some recent results on geography of algebraic threefolds of general type. In particular, we will sketch the Noether-type Inequality which asserts that $Vol(X) \ge 4p_g(X)/3-10/3$.
