TITLEUsing the Fokas Method to Solve Interface Problems

ABSTRACT Interface problems are classical problems where different PDEs and the domains on which they need to be solved are dynamically connected with each other across boundaries between their domains. Examples are the problem of heat conduction in composite walls, the Schrodinger equation with stepwise potentials, etc. I show how the Unified Transform Method of Fokas is used to provide explicit analytical solutions to such problems.
