- January 19: Welcome to the class!
- January 24: Sorry for the glitches in textbook info. Please let me know the edition of your book ASAP, and exchange for 8th edition if you can.
I will try to accommodate those who can't return their 7th edition.
- January 27: Weekly quizzes now move to Monday, starting next week.
- February 1: Due to snowday, the last three problems of HW2 are forced to be shifted to HW3. More problems will be added to HW3 soon.
- February 9: The first midterm will take place two weeks from today, ie. Feb 23, at class meeting time. More Information to follow??k.
- February 11: You may redo problems 6,4,16 on HW3 and turn in together with your HW4.
- February 17: Homework 5 is now posted. This homework serves as practice problems for the probability/combinatorics part of exam 1.
The 4th problem is a bit challenging, and exam problems will not be that hard. However, exam problems should have equivalent difficulty as problem 1 thru 3.
- February 21: Exam 1 Info has been updated. It contains some reduction of topics to be covered. PLEASE REPORT TO ME IMMEDIATELY IF THERE IS ANY CONFUSION!!
- April 30: There will be an optional assignment due on the day of final exam. This assignment will help you prepare the final, and in addition, if you complete it and turn in, you will have the option of replacing your 3rd lowest quiz and homework grade by your final exam score.
- May 3: 8 points are added to everyone's exam 3 due to possible confusion of info sheet. I have cleared that confusion on the final exam info sheet. Please contact me ASAP if it is still confusing.
