1/20:把一些解答上傳, 很有可能有打錯的地方, 如果發現跟你的答案不同, 與同學討論後, 寄email給我
1/19:課本似乎沒有積分表, 如果上課時發的積分表沒拿到或是看不清楚, 可以自己下載: 較簡略的積分表 ; 較完整的積分表. 另外要檢查積分或微分結果是否正確, 可以利用Mathematica 提供的線上工具 連結區. 不過請注意積分結果可能有點小問題(參考書中內容).

12/8: 下週三小考範圍 3.6-3.8(Related Rates). 選的Practice Problems數目有點多, 不過只要上課講過的例題會作, 基本上這些練習題應該都沒問題.

11/12: General preparation guide:Study practice exam, Quiz and assigned practice problems
  • Chapter 0: Sec 0.1, Sec 0.3, Sec 0.5, Sec 0.7 (Maybe only 2 or 3 problems from this chapter)
    • Know what is a function; domain of a function; determine if one function is the inverse function of another; exponential and logarithm functions; parametric equations.
  • Chapter 1: Sec 1.2-Sec 1.5
    • Compute the limits; determine the discontinuities of a function; determine if a function is continuous; Horizontal-asymptoes and Vertical-asymptoes.
  • Chapter 2: Sec 2.2-Sec 2.5, Sec 2.7, Sec 2.8 (implicit Differentiation)
    • Calculate the derivative of a function by definition; How to use derivative formulas (Power, Sum, Difference, Product, Quotient and Chain Rules, etc)
  • Sec 3.3 and Sec 3.4: Determine the interval of increasing/decreasing, local extrema and absolute extrema

    • 11/10: I'm reducing the weighting of Trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. Possibly, I'll just ask you to find the derivative of sin-1 6x2.
    11/8: I upload the answers for the practice problems HERE. If your answer is different from mine, please let me know ASAP.
    11/4: I put the midterm of last year HERE. You should practice these problems before the exam.
    10/26: Office Hour: Thu 2:10-3:00
    10/24: I list some practice problems for chapter 2. The midterm will cover the material from chapter 0 to chapter 2.
    10/16: Quiz 3 (10/18 Wed) will be about Sec 0.7
